Mastering Business Communication in an Evolving Workplace, a two-day course from the Korn Ferry Academy, has been designed for executives at all levels, equipping you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment. The course begins by diving into the Communication Styles matrix to help you tailor your messaging to your audience’s needs—whether they require the big picture or operational details. You then get to explore how to use the 3 V framework of verbal communication to ensure that your message stands out and is acted upon. Throughout the course, you’ll learn to craft clear, impactful messages and emails that drive action and engagement. You will also enhance your communication skills and presence for virtual meetings.

Facilitator Bio
Professor Michael Netzley
Professor Michael Netzley is a distinguished faculty member of the Korn Ferry Academy. An AI entrepreneur, communication and leadership professor and executive coach, he helps professionals communicate persuasively and optimise their performance.
Michael’s work translates neuroscientific and behavioural science discoveries into practical solutions for busy professionals who want to thrive. In 2024 he launched Thrive! Virtual Coach and during that time Michael was named a 2021 APAC Entrepreneur of the Year.
Previously, Michael was a full-time Practice Professor of Corporate Communication and Executive Development. Moving to SE Asia in 2002 to help build Singapore Management University, Michael was instrumental in founding the Corporate Communication Programme, Teaching Excellence Initiative, and current Executive Development Office. He has also held visiting faculty positions in Berlin, Helsinki, Bled, Buenos Aires and Tokyo.
Michael’s communication career began in 1987 as an on-air radio personality before he pursued his PhD in Communication from the University of Minnesota. He now serves as executive coach and affiliated faculty at IMD (Singapore). For 30 years he has taught executive presence and persuasive communication, business writing and now a new course for senior leaders and mature employees on the neuroscience of an ageing workforce.
Outside the academy and his start-up, Michael serves as brain health coach with The Center for BrainHealth, an internal coach certified by the International Coaching Certificate programme (SMU), a qualified neutral mediator and has completed Coach in the Box Training.
Michael has also been featured in the New York Times and MIT’s Technology Review, and been published in Dialogue Review, Channel News Asia and The Straits Times. He has also co-authored four books on business communication.
