Overview

Performance Management in a Multigenerational Workforce is a one-day interactive course by the Korn Ferry Academy, designed for people managers who aim to drive performance in diverse, evolving teams


Participants will explore the unique perspectives, needs, and aspirations of various generations in the workforce. Rather than relying on stereotypes, the course leverages empirical research to foster a nuanced understanding of the unique profiles in today’s workforce.

Building on this foundation of empathy, the course delves into critical performance management challenges, including creating a performance and output driven culture, fairly and effectively evaluating performance, delivering feedback to various employee profiles and bridging generational work preferences.

Through real-world scenarios, case studies, hands-on activities, and targeted discussions, participants will gain actionable insights to cultivate a high-performance culture. The course emphasizes bridging generational divides while supporting hybrid work models and fostering lasting engagement and productivity.

This course equips participants with the skills to:
  • Appreciate Generational Diversity: Understand the differences across generations, what shapes them, and what team members need to optimize their performance.
  • Create Performance-Driven Culture: Make key shifts to your performance management practices, based on clarity of standards, empowerment and accountability, using a team charter.
  • Build Team Accountability: Hold team members accountable to performance standards and address underperformance head-on using various options available.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluation: Evaluate performance fairly and effectively to reinforce the performance driven culture and promote healthy team behaviors in line with the team charter.

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for HR professionals involved in performance management, as well as people managers seeking strategies to boost team performance, bridge generational divides, and confidently navigate challenging performance conversations.

Assessment & Evaluation

Participants will have a 2-day window after their course, to complete the evaluation and assessment. They must complete the evaluation and successfully pass the assessment to be eligible for their course certificate. The course evaluation and assessment will be conducted online.

To be eligible for funding, participants are required to attain a minimum 75% attendance and pass the course assessment. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more details.
